+China Mobile Phones has signed a long-awaited agreement with Apple to provide new models of the iPhone on its mobile network , a person familiar with the matter said today . This agreement is expected to give U.S. tech giant a big boost in the biggest mobile market in the world .
The launch of the iPhone in the largest market in the world and the largest mobile operator by number of users , with over 700 million subscribers , is expected to begin later in the month, or sometime around December 18 .

Trefis research firm predicts that China Mobile , Apple may sell about 1.5 million new iPhones every month , or to reach 20 million new iPhones sold in 2014 . If unable to sell 20 million new iPhone within the next year , Apple will increase its sales in the global market to 17 % .
