Terry the captain

Captain, leader, legend’, reads one banner at Stamford Bridge in homage to John Terry. The first of those words clearly means a lot to the Chelsea skipper - as this picture he has posted on Instagram has revealed.Terry posted an image of dozens of captain’s armbands that he has collected over the years, with a message reading: 'I save all my Captains armbands from every game I play in. This is a small collection.'

They include several worn as England skipper and what appears to be the luminous yellow ‘Unite Against Racism’ band he wore against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League earlier this season.
The ex-England captain has officially led the Blues since the summer of 2004, winning 12 trophies in the role.
Terry also took in two separate spells as England skipper before retiring from international football in September of last year.
He is expected to captain Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight when they take on Southampton in the Premier League.
