New York Subway Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

A homeless man accused of pushing a father to his death in front of a New York City subway train told police his victim "rolled like a bowling ball" after he landed on the tracks.

New information about the case comes from court records made public on Tuesday, as suspect Naeem Davis entered a not guilty plea to murder and manslaughter charges at a Manhattan courthouse.

The documents also say suspect Naeem Davis, 30, blames himself for Ki-Suck Han's death on December 3. In a written statement, Davis said he "shouldn't have let this happen".

Davis' lawyer says there is evidence that Mr Han was drunk and "went after" Davis.

In December, Davis said in an interview with a newspaper that Mr Han grabbed and threatened him, and that voices in his head told him to push the man onto the subway tracks.

He also said he was under the influence of drugs at the time.

Police say Davis watched the train strike the 58-year-old married father before he left the Times Square-area subway station.
